Heidi Lin Harmon April 25, 1989-June 18, 2013 Filer - Heidi Lin Harmon, 24, after a long courageous battle with Batten's Disease, died peacefully and quietly on Tuesday evening surrounded by her family. The family wishes to express gratitude to Sara Johnson's office, Dr. David Bettis (St. Luke's Children's Neurology), Primary Therapy Source, Make-A-Wish, and Hospice Visions, Inc. for their support during Heidi's long illness. Heidi was born in Riverside, California on April 25, 1989 to Jenny Lin (Lott) Harmon and Steven Willard Harmon. She was the youngest of six children. She grew up in Riverside and moved to Filer, Idaho with her parents in 2001. She graduated Filer High School in 2007. Heidi's favorite activities were spending time with family, jumping on the trampoline, listening to stories both read to her and recorded, including the scriptures, and loved singing, especially the Primary songs. Her favorite color was green, even though she hadn't been able to remember what green looks like for many years. Her favorite food was pepperoni pizza, fruit, M&M's and Skittles. Even though she was blind and later suffered with more serious disabilities, she had a determination to live life to the fullest. Heidi was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was happy and had a great love for her Heavenly Father and a testimony of Jesus Christ. Her greatest desire was to live obediently so she could return to them someday and be able to see again. She is survived by her mother, Jenny Lin Harmon (Lott); father, Steven Willard Harmon; sister, Suzanne; sister, Holly; brother, Christepher; brother, Nephi; grandparents, Ralph and Gayle Lott and Glen and Geraldine Harmon-Morgan; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Willard Harmon and grandfather, Willard Edward Harmon. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 9:30-10:40 a.m. at the Filer LDS Stake Center, 841 West Midway Street, Filer, Idaho. A memorial service will be held afterwards at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in the Filer Cemetery under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
