Joan Kathleen Mowery

Joan Kathleen Muffley Mowery, 75, of Wendell, passed away March 28, 2013 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls following a long battle with interstitial lung disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was born on March 14, 1938 in Fairfield, ID to James and Edna Schmitt Muffley. On July 13, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in Gooding she married the love of her life Gerald Mowrey. To this union were born four loving children. Joan loved to read, camp with her family, attending all her children and grandchildren's sports activities. She was an avid Seattle Mariners fan and loved to go to Jackpot and try her luck. Joan's true love was caring and providing for her family. She loved the Lord and that showed in her actions of life. She is now in the caring hands of her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. Surviving are her husband - Gerald Mowery of Wendell, children - Mary (Von)Beckstead of Box Elder, South Dakota, Ronald Mowery of Jerome, Amanda (Mark) Scheer of Wendell and James (Michele) Mowery of Wendell, , brother - Bob Muffley of Wendell and sister - Lois Mintun of Gooding, along with 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may call on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home Wendell - Gooding Chapel 380 First Ave., Wendell, ID 83355. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Parke's Wendell - Gooding Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with burial following at the Wendell Cemetery.
