Susan Emily Metz Jolley returned to her Heavenly Father, Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home in Twin Falls Idaho. Susan was born November 4,1947 in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Mearl Raymond and Vera Iola Bartlett Metz. Susan attended and graduated with the class of 1966. On August 11, 2006, Twin Falls High School celebrated their 40th Class Reunion and Susan was involved with the class reunion committee. She wrote this poem for classmates who have passed on. "These Classmates We once Knew" "Tho' Still and Restful Sleep May Do" "Our Hearts Know That It Was Meant to Be" "We Still Miss Those Human Beings," "We remember Good Times and Laughter," "and sometimes sad , but knowing that ," "We've known them, known what we've had," "They celebrate with us the joy of getting old," "and know that they're with us tho' not seen or told," "But the 40 year class reunion is here," "Spend it wisely for we have another 10 years." Susan took part in her 40th class reunion committee. Susan graduated from Beauty Arts Academy in 1968 and became a certified Cosmetologist. Susan attended IBM DATA in 1968 and on completion attended College of Southern Idaho Vocational School on Kimberly Road before CSI campus was built. She majored in Business Law Communications. On June 1, 1969, she married Clyde Lamont Jolley and from this union a daughter was born, Laura Lynn Jolley. She moved to Pocatello with her husband and daughter. Clyde was attending ISU and they later divorced. Susan worked at Fargo's Hair Fashion for 2 years as a cosmetologist upon moving back to Twin Falls; working for Edna Wadsworth's Beauty Salon. Susan attended CSI in 1971 in Law Enforcement and worked for CSI Security upon completion of Law Enforcement Class, She worked at various Beauty Salons in Twin Falls Idaho. Susan was hired Jan.1976, at Twin Falls Police Department Dispatch and Booking. She was employed with the Twin Falls Police Department until 1996 when 20 years later, Dispatch then became SIRCOMM 9-11 Dispatch. Susan was TAC supervisor for Terminal Agency Communications (teletype system) and a day shift supervisor. Susan retired from SIRCOMM, April 1, 2000. She worked for Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office in Jail Warrants division and Jail Records until the passing of co-worker Donna Lloyd. She decided after 30 years of Law Enforcement, it was time to retire and enjoy life, Survivors include her daughter Laura Lynne Brock, four granddaughters Trishina Emily Owens, Twin Falls Idaho, Kaili Azure Owens, Arizona, Kaelyn Gena Commet, Twin Falls Idaho, Summer Brock, Boise, Idaho, Tony Brock, Boise Idaho, and Susan's Dachshunds, Molly and Ashley, and Alice Ferrin. Susan was preceded in death by, Milius Porter, Allie Bartlett, William and Emily Metz, Mearl and Vera Metz, twin sisters, Elaine and Ilene Metz, 16 aunts and uncles, Norman Ferrin and best friend Donna Lloyd. Susan was a positive influence on many people during her life and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Susan will held Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. Graveside Funeral Services for Susan will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho.
