Opal C McGlochlin

October 18, 1932 — March 14, 2013

Opal Carolyn McGlochlin, 80, of Twin Falls, passed away March 14, 2013 at River Ridge Care Center in Twin Falls. She was born Oct. 18, 1932 the 4th child to Clarence Hickman Tanner & Mazie Lyllian Tanner in VanDuser, Missouri. She moved to Idaho at a young age, spending most of her youth in the Richfield area. On Jan. 21, 1949, she married the love of her life Frank McGlochlin in Boise, Idaho. Together they shared 52 wonderful years until Frank's passing. Opal attended the Hollywood Beauty College in early 60's. She enjoyed craft work, sewing, crocheting and knitting bedroom slippers. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and garden. Family and home were very important to her. She liked to keep her pantry full and organized so she could always be ready to cook a meal when family dropped by. Opal wasn't much of a traveler, but she could strike up a conversation with anyone. Survivors include her childrern, Joyce (James) Witt, Susan (John) Lindemood and Charlie (Lyllia) McGlochlin, Eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, a daughter - Nona, and a great grand daughter - Rogina, long with 3 brothers - Harold, Charles, Samuel. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may call on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
