Christopher Michael Laughlin, "Gumby", "Mer", "Shaneequa", 37, of Kimberly, Idaho passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Ketchum, Idaho. Chris was born July 5, 1975 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son of Kathy Laughlin and Emory Warren. He was raised in Twin Falls Idaho. Early in life he and Blanca Asuncio had a beautiful daughter, Ashley Andrews (19). He married Katrina Hurst on November 4, 1996, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Together they had two incredible boys, Michael Laughlin (16) and Anthony Laughlin (11). They later divorced but have always remained close friends. Chris was an amazingly loving father and his children were his life. He was a devoted friend and would do anything for his friends and family. Chris enjoyed mountain biking, camping, ski biking, fishing and anything that involved being outdoors. He was an extraordinary individual who could build anything, whether that be rocket cars, a trike for his son, rebuilding anything with a motor and he took extreme pride in building custom car stereos and equipment. One of his biggest accomplishments is the suburban he built for his son. He is survived by his daughter, Ashely Andrews of Filer, Idaho; two sons, Michael Laughlin and Anthony Laughlin of Kimberly, Idaho; mother Kathy Laughlin of Twin Falls, Idaho; father Emory Warren of Twin Falls, Idaho; sister, Melody Warren of Twin Falls, Idaho; three brothers, Scott Laughlin of Buhl, Idaho; Randy Warren of Twin falls, Idaho; George Lot of Twin Falls, Idaho; Goddaughter, Alissa Miller of Filer, Idaho; Godson, Rhylen Freeman of Twin Falls, Idaho. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Joy and Grandmother, Helen Joy, along with Uncle Lawrence Robert Laughlin. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 10 AM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
