Ricky A. Towns made his last 8 second ride on February 21, 2013. He was born October 17, 1963 in Butte, MT, the son of Francis W. and Barbara E. Schwanz Towns. He attended Lincoln Elementary, O'Leary Jr. High and graduated from Twin Falls High School. Ricky loved working with his dad building many bridges in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada and Wyoming. He worked for Idaho Construction, A-Core, and Local 219 Cement Masons. Ricky was a cowboy from the hat on his head to the boots on his feet, and was proud of the belt buckles that he won riding bulls and winning finals, thanks to Johnny Urrutia. He also enjoyed working on his pick up that he painted BSU blue and orange. He created the truck in memory of his father Francis and enjoyed taking it to many car shows. He won many trophies and awards, but the real bonus was watching all the girls at the shows. Even though his illness of the last eight years has kept him from doing many of the things that he loved to do, through it all he did it his way. He would often say "You got what you got." Ricky has lived with his sister Karen Denice Rasmussen, and niece Sierra Elaine Ramsey for the past eight years. Sierra was the daughter that he never had, but thought of her as his own. He is survived by his siblings, Rodney Towns, Karen Rasmussen, Janet Jordan-Quintana, Jerry Jordan, nieces and nephews Mitchell, Casidy, Sierra, Austin, Colby, Rebecca and a host of cousins, and too many friends to list - you know who you all are. He was preceded in death by his parents, uncle Donald Towns. "Thank you for sending me nurse Chuck to check my vitals, and Pastor Mike and Deanna for keeping my soul, Teresa my little shower aid. Special thank you to Shaunna Towns, Troy Towns, Robin Martinez and special mother Peggy Schwebach, best friend Mike Robinette, Jeff and Wendy Lane and Todd Humburger. To my little sister - the biggest person in my life - I Love You - for all you have been through with me, especially these last days of my time here on earth."
