Gena Berrett Brooks 1948 ~ 2013 On February 11, 2012, Gena Berrett Brooks, age 65, went to be with her Father due to an accident inside her home in Twin Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin S. Berrett and Venice Telford Berrett. She is survived by her siblings Victor (Nancy) Berrett and Jan (Murray) Maxwell. She is also survived by her children Jeff Whittemore of Twin Falls, Paul Whittemore of Boise, Denise Debban of Twin Falls, Brent (Laura) Brooks of Shingle Hollow, NC and her furry kids Brandi, Willie, Gus Gus and Tabby. Her grandchildren are Sharayah (22) Krystyn (21), Colton (19), Thaddeus (17), Venice (15), Brock (15), Sheahlei (11), Braidyn (7), Paityn (4) and Aela (7 months). Gena's faith, children, grandchildren and animals were her most important priorities, though she shared her life, love and laughter with everyone she met. Her encouraging witness and steadfast faith inspired and uplifted those around her. She selflessly gave of herself to support those in need and brought smiles to the sad. Her positive influence and infectious laugh will be missed by her family and friends. Her life celebration will be officiated by Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home and held at Amazing Grace Fellowship on Friday, February 15 at 1:00 PM. The service will be followed by a meal and an opportunity share stories and condolences with the family.
