Fredrick William Broderick Jr. Born-November 14, 1930 Died February 8, 2013 Fred Broderick Jr. passed away in his home Friday, February 8, 2013. Fred was born November 14, 1930 in Oakland, California. He went to school at San Francisco State, and coached for the Community Recreation Department. He then served in the Air Force. After the service, he worked for Prudential Insurance in California from 1963-1977. In July of 1973, he married Mary and blended their families together. Fred and Mary moved to Filer, Idaho in October of 1977 and started a small sheep farm. In Idaho, he worked as an insurance agent for Modern Woodmen. His favorite pastimes were playing Pinochle, listening to music, studying history, philosophy and space. His greatest joy was working in his beautiful flower and vegetable garden. Surviving Fred is his wife Mary; his four daughters Alice Sadeghi of Morgan Hill, CA, Laura Broderick of Boise, Shari Cammack (Quinton) of Buhl and Lori Baker (Karl) of Filer; his two sons Fred Broderick lll (Paulita) of Vallejo, California, and John Broderick of Fremont, California; Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; his sister Darryl Bulkley of Port Townsend, Washington. Private Family Services will be held when all the family arrives in ldaho. Arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Falls, Idaho.
