Kenneth L. Davis 1929 -2013 Our loving father, Kenneth L. Davis, passed away February 8, 2013 after a brief illness. He was bom to Leslie and Bessie (Witt) Davis on January 13,1929. He lived in Twin Falls, Milner, Murtaugh, and Baker City Idaho. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1947. He was employed at the Twin Falls Flour Mill until drafted into the Army in 1950 and was stationed at Fort Lewis WA. There, he met the love of his life Barbara Tarr. They were married in August 1952. He returned to work at the flour mill until its closing in 1968. He then joined his father and brother in the implement business, custom farming and farming until his retirement in 1977. He continued to work parttime in the farm machinery repair business. He was active in the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, the Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed playing cards. He and his wife were active volunteers at the Twin Falls Visitor Center. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, being with family and studying and reading about local and world history and current affairs. He had a very active and curious mind. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Gurski, his wife of 59 years, Barbara and his daughter Kathy. Surviving Kenneth is his brother, Gene of Twin Falls, sister, Norma of Twin Falls, sister Bette Smith of Twin Falls and Linda (whereabouts unknown); his son Joseph (Christine) of Longview WA, Michael (Shirley) of Jerome, Brent (Michelle) of Snohomish WA, Shanna (Wally) of Twin Falls and Timothy (Susan) of Green River WY. He is also survived by l1 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation for Kenneth will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Interment to follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho.
