DOROTHY EVLYN MAKIN Aug.4 1924 - Feb. 2, 2013 TWIN FALLS, Dorothy Evlyn Makin passed away peacefully, in her sleep at Evergreen Assisted Living, Saturday morning Feb 2, 2013 at the age of 88. Dorothy was born on her family farm in Potlatch, Idaho on Aug. 4, 1924 to her parents Walter and Susan Fiscus. Dorothy stayed on the farm helping her mother deal with the work of keeping five hard working brothers fed and clothed until 1946 when she moved to Boise to work in the Capital building. Dorothy met and married her husband of 54 years on Feb. 12, 1949 in Boise. Dorothy moved to Twin Falls with her husband and two sons in 1954 and was a house wife and devoted mother. Dorothy also worked part time in the accounting office of the family business, Magic Valley Electric Supply, until retirement in 1980. Dorothy was a wonderful cook and loved to work in her manicured yard and garden. She was a prolific reader and a master of the crossword puzzle. She was preceded in death by all her brothers, her son Michael and grandchild Axel Makin. Dorothy is survived by her husband Neil Makin, son Mark (Tamara) Makin and grandchildren Stryder and Steeley Makin. Following her wishes no service will be held, but she would like to be remembered in the hearts of those that knew her as a fun loving soul and hope that this might bring a smile into their lives.
