David Jonas Johnson

December 30, 1954 — January 3, 2013

David "Jonas" Johnson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend left this world on January 3, 2013. Jonas passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 30, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho Jonas served his country in the Army from 1975 to 1978. He worked as a mechanic his entire life, a trade in which he thoroughly enjoyed. After moving to the magic valley he worked for Burks Tractor and was presently employed by Western States. Jonas enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and snow skiing. In his free time he enjoyed attending classic car shows and he loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Jonas was preceded in death by both parents Dora Cloward and Glen Johnson. He is survived by his wife Jeannie Johnson of Kimberly; daughter Wynterly (Dave) Korom of Oakley; and step-sons Michael (Tracy) Talamantes of Caldwell; Phillip Talamantes of Boise; Jerry (Ila) Talamantes of Boise; 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and a large extended Family. Services will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, located at 2551 Kimberly Rd in Twin Falls; at 2pm Friday Jan. 11.
