Allan Bradburn Moss, 59, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away Dec. 12, 2012 at home with close friends by his side. He fought a long hard battle with (ALS) Lou Gehrig's disease. Allan was born March 9, 1953 in Jerome, Idaho to Wilhelmine Elizabeth French and Roland Patterson Moss. He joined two older sisters, Gloria and Carol who had moved from Canada with their Mother two years prior. Allan completed all 12 years of his education in Jerome and graduated from Jerome High School May 24, 1972. He proudly accepted his diploma from cousin, Leroy Weigle who was serving on the School Board. Allan continued his education at the College of Southern Idaho. He grew up in a musical family...with his Dad singing in the church choir and his Mother and sister, Gloria, playing the piano...and Carol tried! Allan played both the violin and the piano - and had an appreciation for all types of music. Allan was active in Boy Scouts as a youth and especially enjoyed the camp outs and survival hikes. He attended the National High Adventure Training at Philmont in the rugged northern New Mexico wilderness...and talked about it the rest of his life! He enjoyed nature and the outdoors immensely and was most happy while undertaking any survival type activity. He loved fishing and hunting - and hunted everything from ducks to deer! He took excellent care of his rifles and greatly enjoyed reloading his own ammunition. Allan had a Honda for "scrambling and canyon riding" and later purchased his Harley Davidson which he drove almost exclusively and then rarely used his pickup or car. He was very safety conscious and took all the classes Harley Davidson offered. Allan was a strong, healthy hard working man, and very passionate about life. He gave 100% to whatever job or activity he was pursuing. He dearly loved his family and friends. His occupation was truck driver as well as heavy equipment operator. He hauled numerous loads of grain and potatoes; and was also an excellent mechanic and could do much of the work himself. Allan loved to visit the Oregon Coast and enjoy the beautiful sites with his sister, Carol. Allan is survived by two sisters, Carol Lane of Oregon, Gloria and John Elliott of Arizona, and numerous cousins. The family would like to express their deep and heartfelt thanks to Allan's close friends, Duane and Margaret as well as their families for their constant loving care and devotion to Allan over the years and particularly during the last difficult months. God Bless one and all!
