Darline A. Brodersen, 91, of Twin Falls, passed away November 14, 2012 at Heritage retirement center in Twin Falls. She was born September 27, 1921 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Mary Bradbury Manis. Being raised during the great depression was not easy, she had a hard life. Darline helped raise her two younger brothers and assister her grandmother who lived nearby. She suffered health problems at an early age, but kept a great attitude, always keeping busy and doing for herself instead of depending on others. Darline met the love of her life Earle Brodersen while in elementary school. They grew up together in the Los Angeles area and were married in 1940. Together they shared 62 wonderful years when he passed away in 2002. To their loving union were born three children - Earlene, Brodine and Gail. The family will always be blessed with memories of her feisty energetic spirit and dry wit. She taught her family traditional values and always blessed them with her generosity. Surviving are her daughters - Earline Mocerino, and Gail (David) Foster both of Twin Falls. Six grandchildren - Todd, Kim, Sandy, Brodie, Cristi, and Mike, along with ten great grandchildren, and her brother Elmer Manis of Seal Beach, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Earle, and a son Brodie. Darline will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. Sandison, Jon at Visions Hospice, Stacy, Allysa, Christine, Chris and the many additional caregivers at Heritage Assisted Living for their exceptional care. She had a long life and was truly blessed. A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 16, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd,. Twin Falls, Idaho.
