David Gran Rigel, 62, of Hagerman, died Nov. 5, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 2, 1949, at Grants Pass, Oregon, to Jesse and Enid Rigel, the fifth of seven children. In 1980 in Nevada he married Loniene Sanders. They shortly moved to Idaho to farm. He raised calves for many years and also drove milk truck for the past 10 years for the Giltner family. He is survived by his wife - Loniene Rigel , son - Jesse (Erin)Rigel of Twin falls, step daughters Johnna Bailey of Jerome, and Yvonne Sanders of Flaming Gorge, Utah, step son - Wayne (Sherry ) Sanders of Wells, Nevada, Brothers - Claude Rigel of Eugene, Oregon, Fred (Carla) Rigel of Cottage Grove, Oregon, and Ted (Kathy) Rigel of Lakeside, Oregon, sister - Maxine (Doug ) Stout of Creswell, Oregon, sister in law Colleen and Ruth, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Dave served honorably in the Navy in Guam and South Carolina as a young man. He cherished his family, yearly family trips to Oregon, and fall hunting trips with his son. Dave loved the outdoors and had a great sense of humor. Dave will be missed by all his loved ones. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home Wendell - Gooding Chapel, 380 First Ave. East in Wendell.
