Rex "Bob" Blamires left this earth on Sunday, November 4, 2012 due to complications of a blood clot. Bob was born on January 17, 1923 in Burley, Idaho to Lawrence and Cruella Blamires. He was the youngest of 7 children. After graduation from Jerome High School in 1941, he worked construction for three years. He returned to Jerome in 1943 and went to work for his brother-in-law in the plumbing and heating business. In 1944, he married Beth Kendrick and to that union came Linda, Jan and Jim. He played for and managed the Jerome City baseball team for several years and when his boys were eligible, he managed Pony and American Legion teams. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loved baseball and Boise State Bronco's. In 1958, he started his own plumbing and blasting business. He later incorporated with his sons doing plumbing, blasting and excavation. Bob is survived by his son Jim (Jane) Blamires of Jerome, grandson - Shane (Kim) and their children Kaitlyn & Bianna of Lewiston, Idaho, grandson Travis (Amy) and their children - Ellie and Ayden of Palm Desert, CA, grandson - Brent (Tara) and their children Wyatt and Eli of Jerome, daughter - Linda (Dick) Goeckner of Wendell and granddaughter - Rhonda and her children - Lacey and Brandy of Arizona, and grandson - Alan (Sarah) Goeckner and their children - Tyler and Jordon, along with three great great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters, wife Beth and son Jan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation was under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
