Dorothy Lee Stevenson, 89, of Hansen, passed away October 27, 2012 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. She was born on October 31, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Luther and Roxie Hester Clinkenbeard. She attended schools in Nevada, Missouri and moved to Idaho with her parents in 1938. In 1939, she married Albert E. Wahl. To this union were born three children, Carol, Pamela and Larry. She and Albert later divorced and she married Lowell West on September 30, 1953 in Elko, Nevada. To this union were born two children - Becky and Cindy. After Bryant's passing in 1979, she then married Verlyn "Bean" Stevenson. He later passed away in 1999. Dorothy love to oil paint, play bingo, bowling, watching movies and traveling in her car. Her Shih Tzu dogs became her second family. She loved to travel to Arizona in the winters and going to Jackpot to play the slot machines. Dorothy was and an active member in the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. She also loved to boat and fish and was a proud member of the West Magic "Dam Fools". Although Dorothy had many talents her most prized possession and how she most enjoyed spending her time was with her family. They lovingly remember that mom loved to snoop. She made sure that her family knew that there was only one way to do things and that was "Her Way". She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her children -Carol Wahl Miller of Hansen, Larry (Kelly) Wahl of Clayton, Idaho, Becky (Frank) McDonald of Eden, Cindy West of Declo, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Pamela Southard, her two husbands - Lowell and Verlyn "Bean".
