Betty Nolena (Hadley) Percy (81) of Filer, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord Oct. 20, 2012 at her home, with her family close by, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born March 12, 1931 in West Plains, MO. the daughter of Adam and Mel Tipton. In the 1940's she moved with her family to Idaho. She attended high school at Castleford. At that time she met and married James Hadley on Oct. 10, 1948. They farmed north of Filer and later moved to the city of Filer where she coached t-ball. She worked at several different jobs, some of which were Roger Brothers Bean Company, Filer Fish Hatchery, and the Mug-and-Jug. She was baptized April 14, 1984 at Clover Trinity Lutheran Church. She believed in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was known to her family as "Grandma Sugar". Her funny birthday cards were enjoyed by all. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Beryl Percy, one son- Steve(Shirley) Hadley, one daughter- Cindi (Larry) Meyer, sister - Irene Easterday, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also had several step-children, step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband - James Hadley, one son-Mike Hadley, her parents and three brothers. A graveside service will be held at Filer I00F Cemetery on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jana Blick officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 5 - 7 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls. The family would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to Clover Christian School, Buhl, ID.
