Joie Ray Ratliff , 84 of Twin Falls, Idaho joined his wife, Lorene and other loved ones on September 30, 2012. Joie was the first born of John Virgil and Edith May (Slape) Ratliff. He has five sisters and one brother. Patricia Gatling, Dallas, Texas; Shirley Palmer, Florence, Alabama; Phyllis Arnold, Houston, Texas; Kay McDonald, Shallowater, Texas; Jerry Ratliff, Lubbock, Texas; and Sue Phillips, Houston, Texas. He has a daughter, Debra Bunnell of Twin Falls, Idaho, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Joie had different jobs during his life, but the two main ones were truck driving and being one of the best mechanics around while living in Weston, Oregon. Later in his life he was the parts man for the gold mine Echo Bay in Battle Mountain, Nevada. Joie had a love of traveling and did a lot of it on his Goldwing motorcycle. He had a love of the Native Americans and donated to organizations for them. He also donated to the NRA. He has a great sense of humor and a way of telling a Texas tall tale. He will be missed by many relatives and friends. Joie's funeral will be on October 9, 2012 at 10 A.M. at the Community Church in Helix, Oregon. He will be laid to rest in the Helix Cemetery with his beloved wife Lorene. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to your favorite charitable organization or his favorite organizations.
