Grace E Lane

Grace Evelyn Lane 1924 ~ 2012 Grace Evelyn Lane, of Brenham, Texas passed away September 9, 2012 at the local S &W Hospital. Born December 23, 1924 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, to parents Harold and Bertha Bevan, Grace was one of three daughters to bless their home. She attended two years of college at Syracuse University. Her first job, she worked as a library assistant, later as a file clerk at an insurance company and also worked for the Yellow Pages phonebook. She was also the owner/ operator of Levittown babysitting service. Grace married Hilton D. Lane of Danforth, Maine and to this union were born her two sons whom she loved dearly, Douglas Harris~ Lane of Brenham, Texas and James H. Lane of Temple, Texas. Grace was a very interesting person in that she had many hobbies. She enjoyed going on outdoor camping trips with her husband and family, seeing almost all of the 58 national parks in the USA. She enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles and talking on the phone with her family and friends. She never would forget anyone's birthday or anniversary and always made sure they knew how important they were to her. Grace is survived by her two sons, Doug and James, and her sister Marjorie Cross of Plano, Texas and by a host of friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mildred Meunier, and by her beloved husband, Hilton Lane. Graveside services for Grace will be held Friday, September 21, 2012, at 10:30 A.M. at Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.
