Karl R. Brown was born March 10th, 1925 to Claude & Bertha Brown in Twin Falls, Idaho, the youngest of 4 sons. He developed an interest in airplanes at an early age. He built and flew model airplanes throughout his youth. It was a hobby he enjoyed all his life. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in May of 1943 and went into the Navy the following month as an aviation cadet. He was in the Navy approximately 2 and a half years where her realized his greatest dream of learning to fly. He returned to Twin Falls at the war's end and entered the family business. Claude Brown Furniture Co., where he worked for the rest of his life. He married Nellie Mae Morrison in 1946 and they had 4 children, Joe, David, Connie & Nancy. Later they divorced. He married Faye Dunham in 1970. She had 4 sons who he soon learned to love as though they were his own. He often said how blessed he was to have 8 children to love. He is survived by his wife Faye of Twin Falls, Children-Joe Brown of Boise, David(Ann) Brown of Monroe, Michigan, Connie Wilson of Fairfield, Nancy Brown of Twin Falls, Dan(Kay)Dunham of Reno, Steve, Dirk(Cheryl)& Mark (Heather)Dunham all of Boise, along with numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. His brother - Doug Brown of Twin Falls. He was proceeded in death in death by his parents and his brothers, Claude Jr., Mark and his first wife Nellie Mae. Friends may call on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2085 S. Temple Dr. Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow the service at the Sunset Memorial Park.
