Alene Erna Cowger

Alene E. Cowger,71, of Twin Falls, our beloved mother passed away on July 3, 2012 at her home in Twin Falls. Alene was born August 7, 1940 to George and Elsie Thomas in Payette, Idaho. She grew up in Idaho with her brother Russell and married her husband Lee Cowger on October 4, 1958. After growing up and living in Idaho, Alene decided to pursue an education in teaching. She graduated from Boise State University with a teaching degree and a Master Degree. She was a passionate and dedicated teacher working for the Buhl School District at Popplewell Elementary School for 29 years. She also had a passion for art and painting, which she pursued throughout her life. Alene was preceded in death by her husband Lee and her brother Russell. Surviving are her son - Greg and daughter - Teresa, along with two grandchildren - Shannon and Alex. A service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls.
