Dale E. Budd, 87, of Jerome passed away June 28, 2012 at Ashley Manor in Jerome. He was born on November 1, 1924 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Floyd and Mabel Bernard Budd. In 1942, Dale graduated from Hazelton High School. After graduation he was drafted into the US Army. He served in France and Germany during WWII, and was injured while on a reconnaissance mission in France. He returned home after his injuries, and began farming with his father. Following his father's passing he took over the family farm. On August 21, 1944 he married the love of his life - Lois Fairbanks. To this union were born three children. Work was Dale's highlight of his life. He was dedicated to his farm and family, and stuck to the true tradition that a man's handshake and his word was his bond. Dale retired and sold the farm in 1988. He was a member of the Frontier Grange and the Snake River Elks Lodge where he served as Trustee. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling and square dancing. After his retirement he assisted Lois in caring for the home and together they enjoyed golfing. Dale is survived by his wife - Lois of Jerome, son - Ron Budd of Jerome, daughter - Diane (Jack) Cooper of Hazelton, and daughter in law Paula Budd of Twin Falls, along with 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son - Terry, two grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. He will be deeply missed by all who knew loved him. The family will receive friends at a memorial open house on Monday, July 2, 2012, from 6 - 8 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls.
