Lisa Friedericke Wilson, 89, of Twin Falls, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born Feb. 23, 1923, in Reichebach, Germany, the 4th of five children of August and Friedericke Eichhorn. After serving as a nurse in the German army during WWII, she followed one of her sisters to the United States and settled down in San Francisco, CA at the age of 28. Soon after Lisa married Carmel Wilson on July 3, 1953. They moved to Fremont, CA and their daughter Linda was born in 1954. Lisa worked in the bakery industry for many years, as well as taking care of her husband who became paralyzed after a stroke at the age of 40. After retiring she and her husband moved to Ceres, CA to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. Years after her husband of 41 years passed away in 1994, Lisa moved with her granddaughter Danielle to Twin Falls, ID. Lisa was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was loved by all that knew her, and will be missed by many. Lisa is survived by her daughter Linda (Kent) Mottison of Ceres, CA; her four Grandchildren; Danielle (Jonathan) Hardesty of Kimberly, ID, Caleb Maher, of Modesto, CA, Sarah (Scott) Collins, of Modesto, CA and Hannah Maher, of Portland, OR; three great grandchildren, Ella, Nolan and Claire Hardesty. She is proceeded in death by her husband Carmel Wilson, her parents August and Friedericke, her sisters, Maria and Klara, and brothers, August and Erwin as well as many other family members. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 28,2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 19th Ward on Hankins Road in Twin Falls. Visitation will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls on Sunday, May 26, 2012 from 5-7 P.M. From thence, she will be returning to California to be buried with her husband on Saturday, June 2,2012 at 11:00 A.M. Those who wish may share condolences at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com.
