David Lee "D.L." Louder, 86, of Hazelton, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2012. He was born on August 11, 1925 in Beloit, Kansas, the youngest of three sons born to Edmund and Carolyn Louder. In 1937 at the age of 12, he moved with his family to Idaho. He served in the US Navy during WWII and upon his return home married Juanita Hissung on August 25, 1948. Together they raised six children. D.L. spent his life farming and working at the Amalgamated Sugar Company, retiring after 35 campaigns. Surviving are his children Jean Stewart of Meridian, Mary (Bruce) Kroll of Nampa, Jim (Sandy) Louder of Hazelton, Susan (Calvin) Crumrine of Emmett, and Laurie (Mike) Ruiz of Twin Falls, brothers - Robert Louder of Eden, Don (Dolly) Louder of Twin Falls, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife - Juanita, son - Steve Louder, and grandson - Michael Louder. D.L. will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may call on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6 - 8 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, with burial following at the Hazelton Cemetery.
