Our loving Wife and Mother, Barbara I. Davis, 81 of Twin Falls, passed from this life on Tuesday April 10th, 2012. She was born to Joseph and Anna Tarr on January 12, l931 in Salem, Oregon the youngest of eight children. She grew up in Florence and Cottage Grove, Oregon. She graduated from Mount Angel Academy and then attended nurses training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Vancouver, Washington were she received her R.N. She met the love of her life Kenneth Davis at Jantzen Beach, Oregon. They were married in 1952 in Cottage Grove. They moved to Twin Falls shortly after and were blessed with six children. She worked as a R.N. for Dr. Douglas Schow for many years. She also worked at MVRMC, several local nursing homes and hospice. She was very active in St. Edwards church and maintained a strong Commitment to her Catholic faith. She enjoyed gardening, camping, playing cards, traveling and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Kenneth, four sons Joseph (Christine) of Longview, WA; Michael (Shirley) of Jerome, ID; Brent (Michelle) of Snohomish, WA; Timothy (Susan) of Green River, WY; and two daughters Kathleen Walker (Richard) of Jerome and Shanna Kendrick (Wally) of Twin Falls. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to The American Lung Assoc. or Hospice Visions Home Care, Inc. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the loving care provided by Visions Homecare. Friends may call on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. A Vigil Service will be held following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Parke's Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with burial following at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
