Hazel Mae Couch

Beloved Mother & Nana, Hazel Couch, 77, of Filer, passed away April 10, 2012 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. Hazel was born on April 27, 1934 in Pea Ridge AR to James & Emma Ash. She was the 9th child of 10 children. There were 7 brothers & 2 sisters. The Ash's moved to Idaho & raised their family in the Buhl & Twin Falls area. Hazel was married & had an only daughter, born Jennie Marie Haney. Later in life she adopted a son, Gary Newberry. She married the love of her life, Roy H. Couch of Buhl Idaho in Oct of 1986. With this marriage added 3 more adult children, Robin Ward of Anchorage AK, Randy Couch of Nampa ID, Blake Couch of McCoy WA. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Bill Ash of Filer ID & Jimmy Ash of Meridian ID. She was devoted to family, especially the many grandchildren and great grandchildren that blessed her life. Everyone has some type of handy work of crochet, knitting or sewing that we will all hold dear. She spent many years in the bowling centers participating in the sport as well as coaching junior bowlers. She loved bowling so much she worked in many capacities through the years at different bowling centers. Friends may call on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 12 Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. A Celebration of Life Services will follow the visitation at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. on Friday. Interment will be at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
