Thelma Lucille Kennedy

Thelma Tadlock Stone Kennedy, 90, of Twin Falls, passed away April 11, 2012 at Wynwood Retirement Center in Twin Falls. She was born on August 10, 1921 in Burley, Idaho the daughter of William and Virgie Ann Tadlock. Thelma married John Stone, and to this union was born two sons - Gary and Lanny. John and Thelma later divorced. She worked at the telephone company in Burley as an operator and at Price's Café in Burley as a waitress. It was while working at Price's Café that she met Wayne Kennedy and they were married in 1950. To this union were born two sons - Ken and Kevin. She was always very proud of her four sons. Due to Wayne's work with West Coast Airlines, Wayne and Thelma resided in many different areas. They loved to travel and visited many places across America, Europe, Hawaii, and Australia. After Wayne's retirement they moved back to Twin Falls. She was a good cook and loved family get togethers. Her tables were always set with fine china, beautiful linens and fresh floral center pieces. Thelma made many life long friends. Appearances were important to Thelma, she always took great pride in her personal appearance and her homes. She loved to decorate her homes and her taste was impeccable. Family was important to Thelma, she loved to care for her family and each summer looked forward to her grandchildren coming to stay with her. Surviving are her sons - Gary (Bev) Stone of Kimberly, Lanny Stone of Denver, Colorado, Ken Kennedy of Paul, ID and Kevin Kennedy of Seattle, WA., one brother Lyle Tadlock of Colville, WA, grandchildren - Brett Stone, Kali Borges, Marrie Rovner, Ryan Stone, Tracy Kennedy, Erika Kennedy, Eight Great Grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her husband - Wayne, one grandchild - David Stone, her parents, brothers - Wendell Tadlock, Roy Tadlock and sister Glenda Bowen. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends may call from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID on Sunday April 22, 2012 from 5 - 7 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home, interment will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
