Vera Tattersall

Vera Fern Tattersall, 95, of Eden, went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2012. She was born on April 22, 1917 in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of David and Viva Fern Burgess. Vera spent her childhood in Springdale, Idaho. At the age of 10, her beloved mother passed away. He father later remarried, giving Vera four brothers and three sisters total. Vera met William John Tattersall at age 18; it was love at first sight. They were married on November 6th, 1935. William passed away three short weeks later from pneumonia. She then married Fred Tattersall on March 14, 1936, and they were married 64 years. The couple had twin girls; Vern and Fern. Seventeen years later a baby boy was born; William. Vera worked alongside her husband on the Tattersall Ranch farming and raising sheep. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. It gave her great joy to be a part of their lives. Vera attended Kimberly Christian Church, where she had been a member for over 60 years. She loved the Lord and is now resting peacefully with him. Surviving are her children Vern (Larry) Harkins of Kimberly, Fern Allen of Filer, Bill Tattersall of Eden, brother - Ben Burgess of California, sisters Glenda Biggs of Burley and Mary Ellen of Salt Lake City, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held on April 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Graveside services will be held following the service at 4:00 P.M. at the MAR Cemetery in Rupert. The family requests memorial be made in Vera's name to the Kimberly Christian Church, PO Box 98, Kimberly, ID 83341-0098, or the charity of one's choice.
