She was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Truman and Juliana Rathbun. She married Donald McEwen on June 11, 1950; they were married 61 years. She spent all her life living in the Magic Valley. Betty loved her family, was dedicated to them and was always there to offer help, support and advice. Betty enjoyed life, loved people, reading and gardening; she accomplished many things in her personal, business and church life. Betty loved music, sang in church choirs and with the Sweet Adeline's women's barbershop group. For many years, she was the manager for Dejuré and Hart's Wedding Village. At 55, she decided that she wanted to go to college at CSI and worked diligently to get her degree. She graduated at the top of her class, Summa Cum Laude, and was a member of the Gold Honor Society. Her family was very proud of her. Betty always accomplished what she set her mind to.
