Obituary for Lloyd Edward Libert Lloyd Edward Libert, 83, of Twin Falls, passed away, Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 at Bridgeview Estates, in Twin Falls, with his loving family by his side. Lloyd was born February 26, 1928 in Twin Falls, the son of Edward R. and Lydia (Roth) Libert. He attended school in Twin Falls graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1946. He joined the Army in 1946. He was a S/Sgt. And served Hq. Co. 598th Engr. Base Depot, Yokohama, Japan. He was honorably discharged February 19, 1948. Lloyd received his student pilot license at the age of 14 and his private license in 1948. Lloyd started riding motorcycles at the age of 16 and rode without accident for 60 years. He remained fascinated by airplanes, motorcycles, and cars his entire life. He also had a great interest in history, particularly Idaho history. He married Patsie Porter May 1, 1955, at the First United Methodist Church in Twin Falls. They were blessed with a son, Mark Edward, and a daughter Dina Lynn. The have seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Lloyd was employed by the Twin Falls Post Office before going into the service and returned to work there until his retirement in 1983. During this time he worked through the ranks to become Postmaster, a position he held for fourteen years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years; his son, Mark Edward (Kim) Libert of Twin Falls; his daughter, Dina Lynn (Rob) Grant, of Eden, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Brian Fortuin,Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home and the caring staff at Bridgeview for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Lloyd's name. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday January 30th at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, with Reverend Phil Airhart of the Twin Falls First United Methodist Church officiating.
