Dorothy O. Voss

Dorothy Odessa Hoehn Voss 1919-2012 Dorothy Odessa Hoehn Voss, 92, of Twin Falls passed away, Friday January 6th at Bridgeview Estates in Twin Falls. Dorothy was born October 15, 1919 to Andrew and Clara (Sheldon) Hoehn on her grandfather’s farm in Filer, Idaho. She weighed in at 3 ½ lbs and they put her in a shoe box and placed her next to the wood stove in order to keep her warm. At three weeks of age she got smallpox. Most of her life was spent here in Twin Falls where she was educated, graduating from Twin Falls High School in 1938. She married Norman L. Voss and his early death left her a widow at the age of 29.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Eleanor Hoehn, and a brother, William A. Hoehn. She is survived by her daughter Oleta (Bob) Bybee of Twin Falls and two sons, Dwayne Voss of Iowa, and Alton Voss of Ferndale, Michigan, a brother, Kenneth Hoehn of Cottage Grove, Oregon, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
