Russell James Burgemeister

Russell James Burgemeister 9/24/1963 - 12/17/2011 Russell James Burgemeister, 48, of Filer, Idaho passed away doing what he loved best. He was leaving a football game with his son, brother and nephew when he fell ill and passed shortly after. Russell was born in American Falls, Idaho on September 24, 1963 to Mip and Ethel Burgemeister. His family moved to Filer early in his life and he graduated from Filer High School in 1983. Russell married his best friend Trudy Glaesemann in 1988, together they had the joy of their life when Kyle was born in 1990. Russell loved watching all sports, especially football; he loved his remote control and ruled over it with an iron fist. Russell spent his life working with wood at multiple jobs, at the time of his death he was working at T&L Cedar Lawn Furniture in Buhl, which he truly enjoyed. Russell was an avid camper and a ATV rider; he spent many weekends in the mountains with his family and friends. Russell was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, father-in-law, grandparents and one nephew. He is survived by his wife Trudy and his son Kyle. He is also survived by his brother Wayne Burgemeister of Buhl, his sister Lynda ( Jerry ) Schwenson of Twin Falls, his mother-in-law of Burley, along with many uncle's, aunt's, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., in Twin Falls, Idaho. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday December 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Filer Church of the Nazarene, 315 Yakima St., Filer, Idaho. An Interment will be held Friday December 23, 2011 at 1:00 pm, at the Aberdeen Cemetery, in Aberdeen, Idaho. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to the Wishing Star Foundation or the Charity of your choosing.
