Janus McEwen

Janus McEwen passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at River Ridge Care in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was born April 29, 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho the daughter of Charles and Alta Randall Sherwood. She grew up all throughout Idaho, and graduated from Hagerman High School in 1954. She married Phillip McEwen on October 28, 1960 and to that marriage were born two sons, Curtis and Jeff. Phillip and Janus opened their home to other children and through this added Tina, Ted and Tammy. They were forever joined as a family on March 7, 1980 in the Idaho Falls Temple LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as Ward Organist, Primary Piano Teacher and loved being a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - Phillip, and son - Ted. Surviving are sons Curtis (Kathy) McEwen of Hazelton; Jeff (Anna) McEwen of Rupert, Tina Robinson of Hansen and Tammy (Joe) Sanchez of Glenns Ferry; nineteen grandchildren and 12 great children and one on the way, along with a sister - Janet (Doug) Franklin of Sonoma, CA. She will deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Viewing for Janus will be held Thursday, December 8, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. Funeral Services for Janus will be held Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:00 AM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kimberly Stake Center with visitation held for one hour prior (from 9:00 -10:00 a.m.) at the church. Interment will follow services at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho.
