Maxine M. Kelley, 100, of Twin Falls, passed away November 28, 2011 at the St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. She was born January 12, 1911 in Gilmore, Idaho the daughter of David and Kate Edith Williams Steele. She graduated from the Bliss High School in 1930. On October 8, 1932, she married John H. Kelley in Gooding, Idaho. To this union were born two children. During Maxine's life she worked as a hot lunch cook in King Hill, Hammett and Hagerman. She loved to cook and loved to meet and help people. Along with baking she also loved to embroidery. Maxine was a member of the Valley Baptist Church in Hagerman and enjoyed helping at the Hagerman Senior Center. She taught Sunday School for many years, and was an inspiration to many as a witness for the Lord. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her and will be remembered for her endless sense of humor. Surviving are her children - Dan H. (Shirley)Kelley of Shoshone, and Merrill J. (Lois) Kelley of Twin Falls, Sisters - Allene "Pat" Vipperman of Hagerman, and Donna Bach (Shey) Patterson of Twin Falls, Grandchildren -Jack (Leslie)Kelley, Steve(Shelley)Kelley, Deb Kelley and Brian (MaryLou) Kelley along with 12 Great Grandchildren, 18 Great Great Grandchilden and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - John, Brother George Steele, and sister Fern Phillips. The family would like to thank everyone who took special care of Maxine during her stay at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center and Bridge View Estates and Care Center. Friends may call on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls from 5 - 7 p.m., Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. , with burial following at the Hagerman Cemetery. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Bridgeview Great Room at 10 AM.
