Ricky Dale Pruett

Ricky Dale Pruett, 59 returned to his Lord and Savior with his family by his side on November 16, 2011 as a result of a sudden illness. Rick was born on August 22, 1952 to Arnold Dale and Clarice Joyce Pruett. He lived in Missouri, California, Colorado, New Mexico and Idaho as a child. He graduated from Buhl High School and spent the rest of his life in the Magic Valley. Rick worked in the grain and bean industry, custom farmed and was working as the "Tool Man" at Amalgamated Sugar Factory in Twin Falls at the time of his death. He was a member of the Union Leadership at the plant, the Twin Falls Reform Church and past member of Optimist International Club. Rick was very artistic and had received a scholarship to ISU in art to pursue Caricature Drawing. He enjoyed painting, wood carving, designing items with stained glass, and refinishing antique wood furniture. Rick was a talented mechanic rebuilding his Harley and working on his "57 Chevrolet. Puttering around the house and yard brought him a great deal of enjoyment. he was a huge Denver Bronco fan with an extensive Bronco memorabilia collection he cherished. The Past ten years he has enjoyed traveling, he loved the sunny island beaches, the history in Washington D.C., the colors of New England in the fall and the beauty of the Idaho outdoors. Rick was a good listener and seemed to attract what he called the "wandering wounded" but he always took time for anyone in need. He had a heart as big as the moon. He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Dale Pruett. He is survived by his wife Sue Pruett and his mother Clarice Joyce Pruett. Siblings: D. Dean Pruett, Demarice (Ron) Zemke, Craig (Debra) Pruett and Judy Pruett. Children: Janel (Craig) Maki, Tracie Thompson, Marlene (Mike) Mangum, Shane (Aleaha) Pruett, and step children Angella Eckert and Ryan (Sky) Eckert. Eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Cremation was under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service for Rick, Saturday November 26, 2011 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho at 1:00pm
