Joseph Edwin Anderson 1917 - 2011 Joseph Edwin Anderson, 94, of Filer, went to be with his Heavenly Father, November 9, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on July 11, 1917 in Hamilton County, Texas, the son on Bine and Nettie Baker Anderson. On February 22, 1946 he married Ruth Byer, he later married Eilene Yauch Maxfield, they both preceded him in death. Joseph worked as a meter reader and lineman for Idaho Power for over 33 years. He also was a member of our nations armed forces, serving in the US Army from 1942 to 1946. His military career began On May 1, 1942, where he shipped out from Texas. Ed's military travels took him to Camp Roberts, California, Cold Bay, Alaska, the Aleution Islands, Tokyo, Japan, Vancouver, Washington and finally to Oakland, California. Ed was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and loved to travel and fish. He is survived by his children - Roxanna (Kurt) Schweizer of Buhl, Clifford (Charlotte) Maxfield of Cedar City, Utah, Robert (Meri) Maxfield of Twin Falls, Denton (Cheryl) Maxfield of McAllen, Texas, and Andrea (John) McCandless of Filer, along with eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and twenty eight great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two wives, Ruth and Eilene, his parents, and one sister - Ruth Gurland. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A Graveside Service for Ed will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14th at the West End Cemetery in Buhl. A Memorial Service will follow the graveside service on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 516 Main Street, in Buhl with Pastor Blake Walsh conducting.
