Thomas F. Walton 1919 - 2011 Thomas Franklin Walton, age 91 of Buhl, Idaho passed away quietly at his home in Buhl with his loving family by his side. Thomas was born December 8, 1919 in Sutter County, California, the son of Guy L. and Emma Atherstone Walton. He grew up and attended schools in Sutter County, graduating from Yuba City High School in 1937. He enlisted in the US Army shortly after graduation and served during WWII. After being honorably discharged, he returned to California and went to work as a Truck Driver. He belonged to the Teamsters and was also a member and past Governor of the Moose Lodge, and also a member of the American Legion. On October 4, 1985, he married Esther F. Higgins in Bethel Island, CA. They have been inseparable companions and loved to travel back and forth from Idaho to California. They also enjoyed being snowbirds and resided in Arizona during the cold Idaho winters. Surviving Thomas is his loving wife of 31 years, Esther of Buhl, ID, son, Robert A. Walton of Rapid City, SD, step-daughters, Leilani Meitzner of Buhl, ID, Pamela Kaw of Temecula, CA and Gaylene Sanderson of Marysville, CA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Robert Walton, Jr., Benjamin Walton, Ray Ewing, Rachel Periera, Tori Pendleton, Kurby Meitzner, Leslie Kaw, Cheryl Fowler, Amy Thomas, Gary T. Sanderson and Amanda Sanderson, and great grandchildren, Robert Walton III, Anjelica Walton, Julian Walton, and Tyler, Elijah, Madison, Allie, Gracie and Landon Thomas. At his request, no services will be held. Cremation is under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
