Jeanie Reynolds

Jeanie Reynolds died Friday Oct. 14, 2011 at her home in Castleford, Idaho after battling cancer for the past 18 months. She was 65. Jeanie was born on Sept. 29, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Vic and Violet Grimm. She started school in Bellevue, Idaho. Her family then moved to Cobalt, Idaho for a few years, then back to Bellevue where she finished school through the 8th grade. In 1959 they moved to Castleford, Idaho and Jeanie graduated from Castleford High School in 1964. She then went to Mr. Juan's Collage of Hair Design. After Graduating from Mr. Juan's she worked for Monique's and Alice Fairchild. She married Dean Reynolds on Dec. 18, 1966 and in 1970, they bought their current home and farm in Castleford. They have three children, Terry, Gary, and Vici. She stopped doing hair for several years to raise her children and help Dean on the farm. After the children were in school she then went back to work doing hair part time in Castleford for Sharon Wilson. In 1991 she built her own salon in their home called "Country Curls and Cuts" where she did hair until the summer of 2010, when she was diagnosed with cancer. Jeanie loved the farm and the life style that it entailed. She loved to travel and go places with her family and friends. She tried never to miss a game, program, musical, pig show, a ride in the tractor or anything that her grandchildren were involved with. Jeanie was very involved with her church "Calvary Chapel Buhl", Christian Women's Club, Vacation Bible School, Good News Club, Boy Scouts, and many other organizations over the years. After being diagnosed with cancer she shared her trials and tribulations and her acceptance of the Lord with others at luncheons and meetings around the Magic Valley. Jeanie was proceeded in death by her father, Vic Grimm, Her Daddy Buck Carter, her brother Curt Carter, two sisters, Pat Jackson, and Freddie Burkhart. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dean Reynolds, three children, Terry (Stacy) Reynolds, Gary (Becky) Reynolds, and Vici (Sol) Brito. Seven Grandchildren, Rylee, Haddee, Oree Reynolds , Ersie Raven Brito, Dalton, Zack, and Dawson Reynolds, her mother Violet Hutchensen, step dad Ben Hutchenson, Brothers Nolen Carter, Short Grimm, and Sister Noleen Pearce, along with numerous nieces, nephews and greats. We love you very much Mommers and you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. In lieu of flowers her family would like donations sent to Calvary Chapel Buhl or The Gideon's. Friends May call on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. at the Calvary Chapel, 1004 Burley Avenue, Buhl, Idaho, interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Buhl.
