Obituary for Cora June Roy Jensen Cora June Roy Jensen, 90, of Twin Falls, passed away Friday, October 14th at Bridgeview Estates. Cora was born December 23, 1920 to Fielden S. and Mollie (Scrimsher) Roy in Rockland Valley, Idaho. June was second of four children with one older brother, one younger brother and one younger sister. June graduated from American Falls High School in 1938, and attended business college in Salt Lake City, Utah. June married Ross Jensen on June 3, 1939 in Rexburg, Idaho. June and Ross lived and worked in the American Falls area until 1956, at that time they homesteaded a farm in the Kasota area of Minidoka County. June worked for Minidoka County Assessor, Minidoka County Clerk, City of Rupert, and Minidoka County School District as Clerk of the District. June retired from the work force in 1984. Upon retirement she received the "State of Idaho, Governor's Award for Outstanding Service to the Residents of the State." June and Ross were true Idahoans, they loved fishing, hunting, and camping with family and friends. They also traveled as much as possible and spent winters in Arizona. They were married 56 years. Ross passed away May 27, 1996. June lived on the Kasota farm until December 1999, at that time she moved to the Independent Living Facility at Bridge Estates, accompanied by her faithful border collie, "Babe". June spent a lot of time with her daughter and son-in-law, Ken and Darla Brott, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Scott and Heidi Shewmaker. She dearly loved her two great grandchildren, Lucas and Lilly Shewmaker. June in survived by her daughter Darla (Ken) Brott, granddaughter Heidi (Scott) Shewmaker, and great grandchildren Lucas and Lilly Shewmaker. At her request, no services will be held at this time.
