Davis Roy Small

Davis (Dave) R. Small, 61 passed away Tuesday October 4, 2011, surrounded by his family in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born July 3rd, 1950 to Dick and Lorraine Small in Twin Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1968 and then attended C.S.I. until he joined the Air Force from 1970 - 1974. He met his wife Joanne (Kalles) Small while stationed at McCord Air Force Base and they were married on December 29, 1973. Dave worked for Norlding auto Parts from 1974 - 1977 and then he went to United Automotive, known as Car Quest. From 1977 until the time of his death, he enjoyed his work and the people he worked with. He was very loyal to his friends and family. He found joy in finding special little ways to make other people smile. He loved hunting, collecting coins, cars and looking for a good deal. Preceding him in death is his father, Dick Small and his sister, Janee' Cristler. He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Small, wife Joanne, daughters Melissa (Raymond) Homolka and Katie Small. Grandchildren, Jayson, Aliah and Kyeshia, brother in law Art Cristler, nephew Jeff (Sara) Cristler, niece Jennifer (Nate) Raff and their families. His family from Washington, Earl (Linda) Kalles, Norman (Ruth) Kalles, Connie Powers, Dean (Christie) Kalles, Harold (Debbie) Kalles, Vicki (Larry) Murtha and their families and also Lee Kalles from Utah. The Family would like to extend special thanks to the St. Luke's Magic Valley ICU staff and Dr's Ippolito , Enamotto, Brown and Ball. A service will be held Saturday October 8, 2011 at 10:00 am at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an organization dear to Dave's Heart: Hard Luck Hounds 3735 N. 2200 E. Filer, Idaho 83328.
