Patricia Ann Johnson

Patricia (Pat) Ann Johnson, age 84, passed away September 7, 2011 in the North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, ID. Pat was born in Monterey Park, CA on January 16, 1927 . She married her high school sweetheart, Harold James Johnson when he returned from WWII April 23,1946. Pat, her husband and 2 daughters resided in Torrance and Downey, CA working in the Aerospace industry until they moved to Salmon, ID in July,1969 and purchased the A&W Family restaurant. They retired from this business in 1984. She loved to travel in their motor home visiting family and enjoying each other's company until Harold passed away on Dec. 28, 1998. Pat had been residing with her daughter in Wendell, ID since 2006. She enjoyed cruises, playing bridge and skip-bo. Our mother and grandma, (our best friend) was the most giving person and always encouraging. She had words of wisdom and enlightenment for the whole family past and present. Her gift to this world was love and plenty of it. Such a special person has touched the lives of so many people with her laughter and kindness. What she means to us is so many special and loved memories. We are so grateful to have had the time with our wonderful mother and grandma. She will be sorely missed. Surviving Pat are her 2 daughters, Joyce Black and Nancy (Glenn) Tucker, 3 Grandchildren, Dan (Wednesday) Chance, Dannel Chance and David (Nicole) Ayer, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Memorial services for Pat will be held at the Parke's Magic Valley Wendell~Gooding Chapel 380 1st Ave. East, Wendell, ID on September 17 , 2011 at 2:00 pm.
