Ida (Liz) Elizabeth Swinney 66, of Kimberly passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Liz was born the fifth of six children on January 28, 1945 in Calusa, California. She was raised and educated in California. There she married John McEntarfer and had four children. In 1989 she moved to Buhl, Idaho where she met and married the love of her life, Scott Swinney. Together they enjoyed 22 years of a wonderful, love filled life. Liz had a passion for family, fishing, games, handicrafts and good looking country music fellas. She had a heart of gold and an infectious smile and an ability to make everyone around her feel good about themselves. Liz is survived by her soul mate, Scott Swinney, 2 sons, Bob McEntarfer of Pennsylvania and Don (Tammy) McEntarfer of Twin Falls; 2 daughters, Barb Grissom of California and Kassandra (Stanley) Pilcher of Filer; Her mother and father-in-law, Pat and Lydia Swinney of Buhl; one brother, Dennis (Schana) Gearing and one sister, Linda (Steven) Currell of Texas. Liz had 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Liz was predeceased by her parents, one son and three brothers. There will be a viewing Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 5-7pm and Monday, August 15, 2011 from 9-9:45am at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho with a graveside service to follow at 10:00 am at the Twin Falls Cemetery. There will be a gathering for friends and family following the services at 440 Forest Vale Cr. in Twin Falls.
