ADRIAN OWEN GEE

ADRIAN OWEN GEE 1931 - 2011 Adrian Owen Gee, was born to Ormus Earl Gee and Winnona Tolman Sept. 2, 1931 in Marion, ID and was damn proud of it. After attending 12 years of school in Marion/ Oakley , he spent his early years as a hired cowboy working for Chick Bedke in the Oakley area. On July 28, 1954, he married to Garneta Port, his wife of 57 years. At this time, he found work in Renton, WA as a kiln operator for the Gladding Mcbean Brick Factory. In the few years they lived in WA, Ade and Garneta were blessed with their first two children, Earl and Audrey. In 1958, the family moved back to Idaho and a little closer to home settling in the Burley area. Ade then began his career with the State of Idaho, going to work for the Department of Transportation. Over the next few years, they were blessed with two more children Karl and Christine. In 1964, Ade and Garneta moved to the home in Hansen, ID where they would raise their family. In 1996, after 37 years, Ade retired from the state. Ade took pride in many things including his home, his family, his involvement in the church and the genealogy work that he and Garneta did. They spent countless hours collecting and compiling the information to catalog the cemeteries in the Oakley area; these records were then donated to the Oakley Museum. Ade enjoyed time with friends and family, always finding ways to make people laugh. Over the last few years, he found great joy and companionship in the three little dogs he and Garneta acquired. He left us the night of Thursday, July 21, 2011, seven days before their 57th wedding anniversary. Adrian is survived by his wife, Garneta, four children Earl (Debbie) Gee Audrey Gee, Karl (Eneida) Gee, and Christine (Phil) Facer; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are his beloved siblings, Jane, Richard and Marilynn. He will be greatly missed. Visitation for Ade will be held 5:00P.M. - 7:00P.M., Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road Twin Falls, ID and from 09:00A.M - 9:50A.M., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kimberly Stake Center Kimberly, ID. Funeral Services for Ade will be held at 10:00A.M., Thursday, July 28, 2011 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints Kimberly Stake Center Kimberly, ID with Interment being held in the afternoon at the Oakley Cemetery in Oakley, Idaho.
