Euil O'Vede Walker (Vede) July 22, 1922 - June 25, 2011 Vede Walker, age 88, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. Vede was born in the family home on July 22, 1922 in Iona, Idaho to James Leo and Kate Walker. He was the second born of six children. He married Darlene Davis on June 25, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple in 1945. They had six children, Marilyn Dudgeon (sons, John & Matthew) Gary (Dianna, son, Shane), Ronald, Michael (Trieste, daughter Tina) Richard (Kathy, daughter Sarah) and Russell (Tracey, daughters, Rheanne, Melisa (Son, Thane). Vede served in the U.S. Navy for four years and worked on the 1st Airborne Radar in Corpus Christy, Texas. Vede was a motivated businessman who opened his successful furniture store, "Walker Furniture" in 1952 and then retired from there in 1985. Vede loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting and after he retired spent several summers donating his time at Henry's Lake as a park ranger. They both made several trips to the Oregon Coast to go Salmon fishing. Vede and Darlene spent their winters in Quartzsite, AZ from 1993 - 2011 with several of their local friends. Vede passed away on the day on of their 69th Wedding Anniversary. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, his children, grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, 2 brothers, a son, a daughter and one grandson. Funeral Services for Vede will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 19th Ward, 723 Hankins Road N., Twin Falls, ID. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, in Twin Falls and for one hour prior to services (from 10:00-11:00 A.M.) at the church.
