Barbara JoAnne Stewart, age 70 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away May 30, 2011 at her home in Twin Falls. Barbara was born August 27, 1940 in Sydney, Montana, the daughter of Lester Elkin and Phyllis Ledford Clapper. She grew up and attended school in Sydney. As the oldest of 11 children, Barb shouldered a lot of responsibility at an early age. On May 31, 1958 in Drummond, Montana, she married her sweetheart and the love of her life, James E. Stewart. To this union they raised 7 children. Barbara loved her children with all her heart and was involved in all their activities. She was a very devoted wife and mother. Barb owned and operated her own hair Salon, under the name of Barb's Cut~n~ Curl. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed many different hobbies, such as fishing, hunting, bowling, sewing, spending time with her family and grandchildren. Some of her other pleasures included Fishing at CJ Strike, Crawdad Parties at CJ Strike, building and welding Pontoon Boats. Barbara was a bit of a Perfectionist to say the least. She was very creative, loved gardening, raising flowers, cooking for her large family and friends, quilting, painting and all crafts. Above all, her hands were never Idle and everything she touched benefitted from her experience and grace. Surviving Barbara is her loving husband, James of Twin Falls; sons, Jamey Lynn (Natalie) Stewart, Joel Stewart , Jesse Stewart and Cody Stewart, all of Twin Falls, ID; daughters, Kally (Kelly) Schiffler of Jerome, ID; Kim Brodin of Twin Falls, and Melissa (Lance) Michaud of Mountain Home, ID. Also surviving is her mother, Phyllis Clapper of Twin Falls, brothers, Larry and Leslie; sisters, Henrietta, Charlotte, Loreen, Pam, Marilyn, Dorothy, Tiny and Nancy, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, ID. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Interment to follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery in Twin Falls, ID.
