James F. Kimball 1919 - 2011 James F. Kimball, age 91, passed away May 21, 2011 at Chaparrelle House in Twin Falls, Idaho. Jim was born in 1919. He was one of Nancy and Thomas's 13 children. Jim was raised in Kimberly and always had an adventuresome spirit. Serving in WWII as a communications operator sent him to Europe. Working in the lumber mills of Scotia, California in the '50s and building missile silos in Mountain Home earned Jim money to return to the Magic Valley to farm. Farming and serving the Lord were the guiding forces in his life. He married Annabelle Vaughn in 1947 to share his life's journey. They have two sons, Ryan and Jim, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim and Ann were very involved in raising their grandchildren. His grandson, Josh, was in heaven to greet him. Nieces and nephews all remained close to Jim throughout the years. Good humor, hard work and family filled Jim's years. When he retired from farming in 1972, he worked at the UI Research Center in Kimberly where he was legendary in his skill of setting siphon tubes. Large gardens, a very green thumb and a twinkle in his eye were his trademarks. The last of his family's generation will be forever missed. A Celebration of Jim's life will be held Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hansen Assembly of God Church 319 2nd Street East Hansen, ID. God Saw You Getting Tired God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me" With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly we could not make you stay. A Golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest.
