Angie was born June 2, 1951 in Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Elvis & Elizabeth Voight Maddox. She had several disabilities but this did not keep her from living a very full and active life. She had a very bubbly and friendly personality. Never one to stay upset, she could be mad one minute and happy and Sunshiny the next. Everyone she met was her friend. She had friends galore and many diverse hobbies that she enjoyed sharing with them. Angie loved Eating Out and her favorite places were "Sizzler" & The Jackpot Buffet. Once every month on Wednesday, the group home would travel to Jackpot to eat and gamble. These were always big trips for her. She also enjoyed Chinese food, Bingo, gaming in Jackpot, karaoke, Country music, and her favorite country artist is "Tim McGraw". Angie loved men of all shapes and sizes, and had an eye for picking the "Handsome Ones". Angie had resided in the Clearwater Care Center for over 20 years. They were her extended family and took very good care of her. She was a member of the Center for Independent Living's Day Program. There she worked with Community Outreach Projects, such as "Meals on Wheels" and the Salvation Army. Angie was employed by TJ MAXX for the last three years. She began as a shoe sorter and "Snapbacks" person for the store. Being very tenderhearted, she had a stuffed dog that was her confidante. His name is "Puppy Dog" He was her baby. She also has some very special friends that she called her 6 sisters; "Kathleen, (whom she also called "Puppy Dog"), Robin, Lacia, Debbie, Paloma and Cheryl. She lived with these women full-time and they were her closest friends. Just recently, Angie had taken a very special trip to DISNEYLAND & HAWAII. Her caregiver and special friend, Charlotte Jones accompanied her and she experienced a Submarine ride. She was able to sit in the cockpit of the submarine and get her picture taken with the man piloting the sub. Angie met the challenges of her life with strength and joy.
