Obituary for Billy "Bill" Rex Dean Sept. 8, 1937-May 14, 2011 Bill passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, of a heart attack. He was born Sept. 8, 1937, to John and Helen Dean in Twin Falls, Idaho. After graduating from high school, Bill spent two years in the U.S. Army as a tank driver. He later drove a gas truck delivering to the farmers. Bill worked at Twin Falls Tractor and later Agri-Service as a tractor mechanic, which he was doing at the time of his death. He really loved his job there and the people he worked with. He married Ann Dodge, having one son, Kirk, and two grandchildren, Darbie and Quinn. Bill ate and slept waterskiing in the summer for many, many years with his family and friends. He was looking forward to this summer. Dean's Cove at Murtaugh Lake was named after Bill and his brother, Ted. They are known by everyone as the waterskiing Dean Boys. He also enjoyed bowling on his men's bowling league. He is survived by his wife, Ann; son, Kirk; and his grandchildren, Darbie and Quinn. He is also survived by his brothers, Don and Ted; sisters, Ella Bryant, Rosemary Abner, Norma Lee Ridley and Grace Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends by the dozen. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Dean; grandparents, Ed (Pop) and Maude McCarty, and Martin and Maude Dean; two brothers, Tom and Dick Dean. Bill is now with two great friends, Vernie McClain and Jim Thompson, skiing away. The family requests no flowers. Please donate to your favorite charity in Bill's name. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls.
