Twin Falls, Idaho resident and former Alaskan, Thomas Calvin Bay, 84, passed away in Twin Falls on May 1st, 2011 after a short illness. His life will be celebrated on Saturday May, 7th 2011 at 2 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls. He was born November 22, 1926 in Anadarko County, Oklahoma. After he graduated from high school, he joined the Army as a diesel mechanic. That position had him travel extensively and meet all the great people he has talked about over the years. His most notable work was being on the drilling crew that drilled the ground to test nuclear weapons in Nevada and Alaska. He enjoyed his time in Alaska very much and was a member of the GPAA and Treasure Seekers of Alaska. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughter Brenda Upchurch, sons Rick and Larry Manning, grandchildren, Louis and Joe Jackson, Corey, Tony, Tonya, Ricky, and Brittney Manning, Hannah Manning, and Chris and Tracy Tafoya, as well and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and sister, as well as his daughter, Donna Renah Perrera.
