Merlin Lee Fairbanks, 67, of Twin Falls, passed away May 1, 2011 at the Twin Falls Care Center. He was born July 5, 1943 in Hazelton, Idaho, the son of Glen Ward Fairbanks and Mary M. Hartley Fairbanks. He was married to Susan Wolf and to this union was born a son Mike. Susan and Merlin later divorced and on January 5, 2007 he married Ann Ridgely. Merlin loved NASCAR and worked for several years at the Magic Valley Speedway. He also was an avid bowler and took great pride in the care and cleanliness of his pickup truck. Merlin also enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Norm's Café and the Depot Grill. Surviving are his wife Ann of Twin Falls, son - Mike (Heather) Fairbanks of Twin Falls, brothers - Glen "Darrel"(Joan) Fairbanks of Eden, and Larry Dean (Noralee) Fairbanks of Twin Falls, sister - Edith Loosli of Portland, OR. and a granddaughter - Marlee Fairbanks of Twin Falls. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
